I disagree about being simple at least not to everybody. It's even impossible to some.

While I've managed to do it in the past, now I can't anymore. I am in a position where I am being stuck and while I know I can free myself I don't know what helped me the last time in order to just try and try until getting where I wanted to. It's a psychological thing as far as I feel.

Simple doesn't mean easy. There are many things that are simple, yet difficult. Or simple, but you can struggle with them for years.

For example, squatting 500 pounds is simple. It's just a squat with a heavy bar on your shoulders. Yet, it is not by any means easy. For most it takes years of training in the gym multiple times a week to even approach that kind of squat. Many will never achieve that at all.

If you are stuck, often times simplifying what you are doing will make it easier. But if the thing is already simple, you might need to lower the difficultly level even further until it is in the zone of being both simple and achievable.
