This World's Gone Crazy

Back in 2019 I had this sort of bizarre experience where a bunch of songs “showed up”. And I didn’t know what to do with them other than to write them down. To sort of capture them like pokemon.

Not all of them have found their way out of my office/recording studio.

Fast forward to 2024…

Last weekend I saw Donald Trump nearly killed on live television. The week before that the news was buzzing about the DNC trying to push out Joe Biden (in what feels like an insider coup).

Oh, and yesterday a billion computers were taken down by Crowdstrike.

What the hell is going on?

And I was reminded of this song I wrote called “This World’s Gone Crazy”. It was written before the 2020 pandemic and wasn’t inspired by anything in particular. Like most of my songs, I don’t really know where it came from. It just had a vibe of wanting out of the craziness.

That felt even more true in 2020 and even more more true today.

This week I managed to record the song and put it out on YouTube. I don’t believe it’s ever been recorded before, so I guess it’s a new song to you (even if it’s an old song to me).
