The other day I had this crazy idea. It started as sort of a joke in my head and then I had to try it. It’s a drink I invented that I’m calling “Redneck Champagne”.
I explained it to a few friends and the reactions were either “that’s hilarious” or “how do you come up with this stuff Brian?”. And to that I say, I don’t really know.
With idea in hand I set out to get the ingredients from Walmart and test it out. And I figured that I should record the process on video. And that turned into this YouTube short: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xctcBRKK6mA
Aside from testing the idea out myself, I was also testing out a process to go from idea in my head to a published video faster. I tweaked my process a bit to streamline things. They weren’t world changing improvements, but it felt smoother.
The big thing for me was to get the idea out of my head quickly so I didn’t lose the magic of it. I’ve had many ideas like this where I waited too long and the energy behind the idea faded away. At a certain point the magic is gone and life moves forward.
In this case, the idea was made, the video is out, and my brain is on to the next thing. I hope you enjoy the video and maybe it will make you laugh.

P.S. Ironically, I don’t really drink alcohol more than once or twice a year. So coming up with an alcoholic beverage idea was pretty random.
